Ben Wallace founded Beat Squad Entertainment in 2014 to bring tech-industry rigor to a service most couples remember as either the highlight or the disappointment of their wedding day. Today he leads the company, sets the standard the team executes against, and stays close to the work — while our Director of Sales, Vince Kendjorsky, runs every client consultation.
Ben grew up in central Ohio with one foot in technology and one foot in music. Before founding Beat Squad, he spent years building software products and DJing weddings on the weekends — a combination that taught him both halves of the entertainment business: the creative artistry of reading a room, and the operational discipline of running a service business that families and Fortune 500 companies trust with their most important moments.
He started Beat Squad to fix the things that frustrated him as a working DJ and as a client: lack of communication, inconsistent talent quality, and "set it and forget it" service after the deposit cleared. Beat Squad replaces that pattern with a personal sales consultation led by our Director of Sales, careful DJ matching, and a planning process built on the premise that you should be able to enjoy your own event.
Today Beat Squad is one of the most sought-after entertainment teams in Ohio, with DJs who have headlined MLS Cup championship celebrations, NCAA tournaments, Fortune 500 brand activations, and over 1,500 weddings.
I built Beat Squad to be the team I'd want to hire — people who treat your event like it's the most important booking of the year, because to you, it is. Vince leads our sales conversations now, but the standard he's holding the team to is the same one I've set since 2014: get the DJ-couple match right, communicate like adults, and never let anyone feel forgotten after the deposit clears.
